Grand Taste at Maui AgFest & 4-H Livestock Fair

Ulupono Initiative was pleased to sponsor the Grand Taste event at the Maui AgFest & 4-H Livestock Fair, which was held on June 3 at the War Memorial Special Events Field. The culinary event was a grand hit, selling out for the second year in a row. Judges, along with hundreds of hungry attendees, enjoyed the delectable fare at a dozen different tasting stations, featuring unique creations from Maui’s top locavore chefs.

Presented by the Maui Country Farm Bureau, Grand Taste calls on Maui’s top chefs to choose a locally grown or sourced item, such as produce, island-raised meat or fresh-caught seafood to highlight in a dish. The talented chefs included both returning winners and talented new up and coming chefs.

Ulupono was honored present this year’s awards at the end of the event. The 2023 winners are:
