Lt. Governor Shan Tsutsui is working collaboratively with the Hawaii State Department of Agriculture and Department of Education to gather information from the agriculture community for the Farm to School Initiative. Farmers across the state are being asked to participate in a Request for Information (RFI) survey for the Initiative’s market research, beginning today, April 1.
In one week, Kamehameha Schools and the Pauahi Foundation will close the application period for the 2016 Mahiai Match-Up – an agricultural business plan contest dedicated to finding farmers to grow food, and decrease the state’s dependence on imports. Teams are asked to complete a short application by Monday, February 29, 2016.
