John joined Ulupono Initiative in 2016 and started as the firm’s first senior analyst. As an associate, he supports the investment team, including conducting evaluation, due diligence, and financial modeling.

A graduate of Punahou School in Honolulu, John received his Bachelor of Science in Management with concentrations in finance and economics from Boston College. Prior to joining Ulupono, he served as manager of energy economics at Energy Industry Corporation. In his spare time, he volunteers with the RISE program.
